Makin’ a Font = Project Feels

It’s a running joke that whenever I begin a new endeavour: how long until I invent a new font?

Perhaps working on the art of words gives a unique voice to a project, a voice that I can casually chat with and discuss what the heck we’re going to do next. Cause sometimes it’s hard to figure how you feel about your project, right? I think that’s especially true about creative stuff.

The design work began when I started working on the capsule art (the little thumbnail you see when selecting a game on Steam etc.). I wanted a title that felt casual and whimsical more than trying to be impressive or cool. So I began trimming away the serifs and extra curves until I ended up with something simple. Then I rounded the shapes in a way that kinda mimics the characters I’ve drawn in the game.

Soon I plan to animate the font so when each day cycle ends you will be presented with a haiku using this voice.

Hey would you like to use it too? I’ve uploaded it here if you’d like. The button is below:

Just please don’t sell it or do something uncool.

Thanks for taking a minute to hear me out. I hope you get to spend more time with whatever you’re passionate about.

Cheers.
